Job Title: Production Manager

SUMMARY: The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient and timely production of goods while maintaining all aspects of keeping the plant/production area sanitary and compliant to USDA and Quality Assurance regulations.  Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP); validates processes; providing documentation; and managing staff.  Must be a self-starter with strong leadership experience, professional work ethics, and creative problem solving skills, able to handle legal compliance, customer expectations and coordinate activities in order to meet quality standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to)

  • Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
  • Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes.
  • Initiative plans and processes which minimize production costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
  • Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned stations for problem solving and cost reduction, depending on need.
  • Maintain a clean and safe production plant.
  • Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.
  • Maintain individual skills keeping up to date with latest production and production management concepts.
  • Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports Crescent Foods’ initiatives.
  • Establish and direct plant policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for plant production goals.
  • Assures attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while insuring product standards that will exceed our customers’ expectations.
  • Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
  • Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, and shipping.
  • Responsible for establishing all shift production schedules.
  • Work to establish management practices throughout assigned areas which include all employees’ positive involvement with opportunity for construction input and action.
  • Schedule and conduct plant meetings on regular basis with Supervisors to increase awareness and productivity.
  • Manage spending against changes in production volume.
  • Responsible for the product quality and quantity according to daily customer orders.
  • Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • BA or BS or equivalent work experience
    • 5+ years Management Experience in the food industry preferred

Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager/Coordinator

SUMMARY: The role of the Quality Assurance Manager is to be responsible for maintaining all aspects of keeping the plant/production area sanitary and compliant to USDA regulations.  Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP); validates processes; providing documentation; and managing staff.  Must be a self-starter with strong leadership experience, professional work ethics, and creative problem solving skills, able to handle legal compliance, customer expectations and coordinate activities in order to meet quality standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to)

  • Responsible for the coordination/scheduling of Quality Technicians.
  • Assures the quality of the product leaving the facilities/warehouses.
  • Creates, develops, implements, monitors, and improves programs designed to monitor and communicate process deviations and assure the quality of the product.
  • Oversees the pest control program.
  • Chairs or participate in Q.A. Council/attends meetings.
  • Procures sanitation, housekeeping and lab supplies.
  • Interfaces with Sales Administration manager and Q.A. council in handling customer and consumer complaints.
  • Interfaces with Customer QA departments.
  • Responsible for Q.A. Micro program and interfaces with outside Labs.
  • Conducts plant GMP inspections.
  • Maintains HACCP plan. Member of HACCP team.
  • Creates, develops, implements, improves and files all QA inspection forms
  • Maintains written QA procedures on file.
  • Assists the Plant Manager in developing the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Conducts procedural time studies to maximize Tech performance.
  • Insures effective communication exists between the Techs and the Supervisors to assure product quality.
  • Trains employees on GMP’s, HACCP, M.S.D.S. & Allergen controls.
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to ensure that operations are in compliance with corporate QA standards and policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to monitor and manage contract manufacturer and vendor Quality, including implementation and monitoring a formal vendor certification system.
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to ensure that all distributed products meet product specifications, consumer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Disposition product and review change control.
  • Identify and address operation and product Quality concerns and improvement opportunities. This includes talking corrective actions and implementing preventative measures as well as facilitating process improvement in the plant.
  • Identify and communicate consumer Quality and safety concerns or trends to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Identify and address training and development needs of department employees to enhance their ability to contribute to the achievement of plant goals.
  • Develop, review and disposition Packaging Specifications, Bill of Material and other operations related documentation.
  • Develop, implement and monitor HACCP & Food Defense programs.
  • Conduct internal and external systems and GMP audits (including follow-up and close-out items).
  • Creates and implements incoming material inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Designs and implements Quality Assurance training programs to key personnel in conjunction with other department managers.
  • Handle assignment of special projects as needed.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • BA or BS or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years Experience as QA Management in the food industry preferred
  • R & D a must

Job Title: Inventory Manager

The Inventory Manager is responsible for the development of the merchandise plan including sales, margin, inventory turnover, and in stock percentage at the line, category, and appropriate class or key item level. In addition, he/she is responsible for delivering sales and margin targets through flawless execution of the merchandise flow plan while achieving Distribution Center fill rate, inventory turnover, in-stock percentage and liability inventory goals. Position Responsibilities:

    • Monitors department/line performance & makes appropriate mid-course corrections to forecasts
    • Incorporates modeling, situation analysis, problem diagnosis, & operations analysis to support business decision making with financial analysis
    • Participates in weekly & monthly in season business management meetings, presenting analysis, calling out issues and action items
    • Facilitates & completes the monthly & seasonal post mortem review process with data & analysis
    • Develops associates through interviews, selection, coaching, mentoring, performance management, talent management & succession planning
    • Develops & monitors pre-season, in-season, semi-annual, monthly and weekly business financial plans and forecasts that adhere to strategic and financial objectives
    • Develops Distribution Center (DC) level plans and forecasts fully communicating and integrating these plans with logistics and DC operating plans.
    • Supports the business review and line review processes with data and analysis
    • Utilizes and maintains forecasting/planning tools to drive results
    • Creates monthly financial forecast (ROF) for sales, gross profit, inventory and other required elements in merchandise plan

Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or a related field
    • 5+ years experience with a mix of buying, planning and placement responsibilities
    • Prior experience in a leadership role, including performance management
    • Detail oriented with strong managerial, planning, organization and project management skills
    • Ability to mediate differences of opinion and facilitate resolution when conflicts arise

Job Title: Customer Service Representative

SUMMARY: This role is defined as the voice of Crescent Foods, on the front line in promoting and selling its products in an extremely competitive Halal Industry. Providing superior Customer Service to all accounts. Additionally, to prove to highly discerning customers and consumers that Crescent Foods products are 100% Zabiha Halal and to relate all the product features and benefits. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to)

    • Processing A/R invoices
    • Field Sales visits on an as needed basis to assigned accounts
    • Following up on assigned sales leads
    • Managing online customers
    • Growing relationships and rapport with all customers to promote retention and loyalty
    • Using add-on sales strategies with existing and new customers
    • Introducing new products to customers
    • Calling to expedite weekly payments
    • Resolving customer complaints and customer service issues efficiently
    • Assisting in managing all local and out-of-state customer order shipment and logistics.
    • Handling customer and consumer inquiries about Crescent Foods products
    • Designing sales strategies specific to each customer
    • Utilizing multiple language skills to communicate with both ethnic and mainstream customers and thus build stronger relationships
