Office Manager


The Office Manager is responsible organizing and coordinating office operations, admin support and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.


The Office Manager reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing and is responsible for providing Office Management services to the office. This includes maintaining office services and efficiency, managing office logistics and schedules, admin support to CEO and maintaining office records.

  • Must be highly punctual, reliable, and responsible.
  • Must provide admin support to CEO, managing schedule, reminders, voicemails, meetings, etc.
  • Maintain office area, clean and free from clutter, monitor cleaning staff.
  • Operate telephone system, route calls, take messages, answer inquiries and obtain information for general public, customers and visitors, greet guests and refer them to appropriate staff members.
  • Assist various departments in miscellaneous tasks, but not limited to, light correspondence; English, grammar and skilled writing required, customer service, light bookkeeping, copying, faxing, mailing and filing.
  • Maintain office staff calendar to coordinate work flow, schedule lunch breaks, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain professional relationship and communication with each department to ensure coordination of work flow.
  • Manage hospitality for office guests, clients and vendors.
  • Sign for and distribute UPS/FedEx, inbound/outbound mail, sorting and package receiving.
  • Pay all utilities online or ensure Accounting receives all bills and deliver rent check monthly, trouble shooting assignments, and miscellaneous errands outside office.
  • Office supplies management and budgeting for two offices.
  • May be required to work occasional, partial Saturdays, within advance notice, depending on business needs.
  • May be required to work occasional events, sponsorships, Expos, etc.
  • Support Marketing Team on projects as assigned.
  • Answer all inquires incoming to Communications email in timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Financial Controller – Fresh Food Production Chicago, IL 60632

As a Financial Controller with Crescent Foods you will be leading the financial analysis and reporting that support the decision-making processes that will fuel our operational and financial growth. By maintaining accurate and timely financial reports and the SAP Business One systems that support them, you will create the dashboards and feedback that will enable our team to make sound business decisions in all areas. Your efforts to maintain good relationships with vendors, customers and banks will maintain the liquidity that we need to fund our continued growth.
Crescent Foods is the leading supplier of 100% vegetarian fed, antibiotic free, humanly raised Halal poultry. We supply the largest grocers in the country (as well as food service and prepared food companies). Throughout our history we have committed ourselves to supplying the highest quality products to very discerning customers. This commitment has led to rapid growth and investment in our manufacturing systems; now it’s time to invest in the processes to go with them.


  • Lead the management team in creating appropriate financial reporting and processes needed to ensure accurate recording, reporting and communication.
  • Develop a more complete and accurate implementation of SAP Business One to insure that all inventory, income and expense numbers are accurate and timely. With the addition of our real-time scanning equipment our systems should be capable of up-to-the-minute reporting!
  • Monitor and manage A/R, and A/P to maintain appropriate liquidity for company operations. Manage our customer receivables, and our available financing facilities to support our continued growth.
  • Develop an ongoing cost accounting process that sets and evaluates standard costs and reviews variances regularly.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and operations to evaluate, understand new customers and product line opportunities. Develop financial plans and necessary financing to support these initiatives.
  • Prepare, analyze and synthesize financial results for our leadership team so that we can make more informed decisions.
  • Ensure appropriate accounting policies, and principles are being implemented, in order to comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain proper internal controls.
  • Partner with external CPA to complete required tax filings.


  • You understand the systems as well as you do the numbers. Of course financial executives are fluent in understanding the numbers that drive the business. You will excel if you are equally fluent with SAP Business One so that you can see not just the numbers but know how they get there. Understanding not just the numbers, but how we can use them to make better decisions and change team member behavior.
  • You can talk in the language of our business without using accounting jargon.  Your understanding of the manufacturing operations environment (e.g., activity costing, lot controls, and safety) and knowledge of how to drive business results enables to you to be a partner with the leadership team. You are effective at balancing priorities that impact the business with the need to respect the accounting functions.
  • You are a focused on building a platform for growth. Crescent Foods is primed for growth. Our systems may work fine for the business we have today, but may need to change completely as we get to our next stage of growth. Job Title: Sales Customer Service Representative

SUMMARY: This role is defined as the voice of Crescent Foods, on the front line in promoting and selling its products in an extremely competitive Halal Industry. Providing superior Customer Service to all accounts. Additionally, to prove to highly discerning customers and consumers that Crescent Foods products are 100% Zabiha Halal and to relate all the product features and benefits. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to)

        • Processing A/R invoices
        • Field Sales visits on an as needed basis to assigned accounts
        • Following up on assigned sales leads
        • Managing online customers
        • Growing relationships and rapport with all customers to promote retention and loyalty
        • Using add-on sales strategies with existing and new customers
        • Introducing new products to customers
        • Calling to expedite weekly payments
        • Resolving customer complaints and customer service issues efficiently
        • Assisting in managing all local and out-of-state customer order shipment and logistics.
        • Handling customer and consumer inquiries about Crescent Foods products
        • Designing sales strategies specific to each customer
        • Utilizing multiple language skills to communicate with both ethnic and mainstream customers and thus build stronger relationships
        • Cold calling leads to start creating new business opportunities
        • Attending Crescent Foods sponsored events to have face-to-face interaction with customers and consumers.
        • Will require working at trades shows and conventions to help at exhibit booths outside the regular assigned work week hours
        • Travel will be required to attend shows and events
        • Working on Sales projects in teams.
        • Working with Production, Logistics, Dock Management and IT Departments

        • Promoting efficiency by taking orders before their delivery day to allow the production staff more time to prepare orders
